The Fishing group is getting along quite well with anywhere from 9 to 15 in attendance. In the past few months they’ve enjoyed fishing at the docks behind Grill’s on the Indian River; Bonstell Park Beach and not long ago on the party boat Ocean Obsession
at an offshore reef. To keep updated and to get on Gene’s email list contact him at 321/773-4647 or As Gene likes to say “Fish On”!

The Fall Picnic, Holiday Luncheon, Valentine Party & Fashion Show have all been very successful events. Joanne Everett, Special Event Coordinator, is busy planning for this year’s social gatherings. Keep your eyes open for a Fall Fling, a repeat of the holiday
parties, a possible Fashion Show, Spring Tea and Ice Cream Social and maybe something else!

This group meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at the Satellite beach library, from 2-3 pm. The group ranges from 8 to 10 and we will continue to meet through the summer. We save and exchange coupons from the Sunday paper. In addition we save expired coupons which are sent to soldiers over seas. You can assist in this cause by placing your coupons (either good or expired) in the bin located at the DRS Community Center. Submitted by Terry Mellon

Fashion Show Recap

Models-Joyce-Olga-Eleanor-Norma-Terry-ElaineThe April 9th Fashion Show was a great success and I would like to thank all of the ladies that helped put everything together from
helping to plan, set up & take down, decorating and the great food. Also a big thank you to the 55+ Club members for attending and supporting this event. Thank you to Sharon from Bon Worth for providing the fashions and doing a wonderful job as commentator. Each of the six models picked out three outfits to wear. They all looked great and did a wonderful job! Thank you to our models Joyce, Olga, Eleanor, Norma, Terry and Elaine.
