The fishing group continues to meet on the 3rd ‘Thurs. of each month at Beef O’Bradys. The trip planned earlier to Sebastian Inlet had to be postponed due to issues with grates on the north jetty that were blown away. They hope to plan a beach trip providing they can find a beach that hasn’t been sloped down by the storm. They will be gearing up for more fishing dates so stay in touch with Gene at 321/773-4647 or [email protected]

HOLIDAY LUNCHEON AND ANNUAL MEETING
This Dec. 15, event was a great success! We had 80 people in attendance and all enjoyed a delicious catered meal from Brevard Kitchens. Thank you Santa Ron Jones, his “elf ” wife Mary, and the Ole’ Time Carolers for a delightful songs of holiday cheer. Thank you to all who helped make this day possible, for coming in early to decorate, making drinks, and to our special bartender Paul!!! We recognized all our volunteers who have stepped up to help during 2022. We are grateful to you!! Also, a special thank you to the ladies who came in and helped put together the “whisk favors” that everyone received. That fun and crazy assembly line consisted of: Candy A., Jill B., Becky A., Audria T., Susie D., Maria D., and Joyce V. These ladies made this task fun and got it done! We hope all our members had a wonderful holiday and happy new year to all!

SPOTLIGHT
SENIORS HELPING SENIORS

Over the last ten years, Seniors Helping Seniors has become the trusted source for in-home care in Brevard County. We build peer relationships and improve quality of life. The business was founded with two simple ideas; seniors can help each other, and seniors who give and those who receive benefit equally.
We want to thank the members of the 55+ Club for their support over the years. One of our first forays into the community was the Club’s monthly luncheon. Your warm reception to our business was incredibly encouraging. Since then, I have gotten to know many of you and often recommend the 55+ Club to clients as a way of staying social. You are a warm, welcoming
bunch and we are grateful for your support.
Should you or a friend need help at home, our services include transportation, companionship, light housekeeping, meal preparation, dementia care, and more. Our “seasoned” caregivers are working because they want to make a difference. All have federal background checks, are bonded, and insured. My policy has always been that I will not hire someone that I would not put in my own mom’s home. Additionally, when we hire caregivers, I will not put them into a home I wouldn’t put my mom in. We take care of both sides. If our caregivers are delighted with helping their client, the client is getting wonderful care. If you would like a job, you feel good about we’d love to hear from you. Please call us: 321-722-2999.
WE NEED YOU!
Please step up to help this club. There are a variety of ways that we need assistance, from “chairpersons to just worker bees”. Volunteers help keep this club going or it can’t grow and may jeopardize its future! Please contact Ellen at 303/434-1753 for details.
