RECAP

On Thursday May 26th, Zon hosted a delightful luncheon! Fifty-five members enjoyed a delicious taco lunch with all the trimmings and dessert. Janet Whiskers, from Zon, explained the new construction which will culminate in a 45-unit luxury independent Living Facility. Thank you Zon and Janet for a wonderful lunch and for being a dedicated sponsor of the 55+ Club.

DAY TRAVEL

Dania Beach Casino – Friday, August 12, 2022 Meet at the DRS by 7:45am, board bus 8:00am. Cost is $45pp, checks are payable to “Casino Connection” and can be dropped off at the DRS Center. All will receive $15 in “free play”. You will be asked to provide the number on your Players Card if you have one. If not, you will need to provide your DOB, address, phone, drivers license number and exp. date. Cancellations must be made 72 hours (3 days) in advance for a refund. For questions, contact Audria Tatken 443/257-6263.

SBPD STOP BY & SAY HI

This program, sponsored by the Satellite Beach Police Department needs more volunteers! These volunteers visit Satellite Beach city residents who could use a social visit each week. The volunteers will need to complete an application, get fingerprinted, have a background check, and take a drug test. The Police Department pays for all of this. The volunteer is only required to donate 3-4 hours a week for this program. If you are interested, or know anyone who may be, please contact Barbra Holland 321/773-4400 ex. 507 or [email protected].

CLUB ACTIVITIES

Bingo – No bingo on Monday, July 4th.

Fishing* – Meets on the third Thursday of each month at 1:00pm at Beef O’Brady’s.

Gardening* – Meets the last Friday of each month at 1:00pm in the Teen Zone at DRS Community Center.

Line Dancing – Meets Tues & Thurs at 1:00pm at the DRS. No entry before 12:45pm please. 

Mahjongg – Meets in the Teen Zone on Wednesdays at 10:15am thru July.

Walking – Meets Tues, Wed, Thurs, 7:30 to 8:30am thru Aug 3rd, then resumes regular time for Fall.
