COORDINATOR, SENIOR; PROGRAMS

We would like to introduce you to Becky Aud who was hired by the Satellite Beach Recreation Dept. as their first ever Coordinator for Senior Programs. Becky has a degree in Recreation and worked previously in Virginia as a Recreation Programmer working with children through senior adults. In total, she has over 25 years’ experience in Recreation.

Becky’s main job is to be the go-to person for Senior programs for our community utilizing what is already in place and eventually introducing additional opportunities for our seniors. Feel free to offer any suggestions you may have.

She will be the liaison for the Recreation Dept. with the 55+ Club and will assist the club with their administrative work. You will most likely see her at many of the 55+ Club programs pitching in. Feel free to contact Becky if you have any suggestions or ideas regarding senior programs. Amelia Island/Cumberland Island Boat Tour – JANUARY 14, 2023 Cost is $75pp. This trip is sold out, but you may put your name on the waiting list. NOTE: Pick up location for this trip has changed! We will now be departing from the Satellite Beach
Civic Center located at 565 Cassia.

Dania Beach Casino Day Trip – FEBRUARY 21, 2023 Cost is $45pp. Each person will receive $15 free play. Deadline for payment is February 7, 2023.

Bok Tower And Gardens – MARCH 10, 2023 Please watch for more details of this trip in coming weeks. For more specific information on these trips, please refer to flyers located at the DRS Community Center or call Audria Tatken 443-257-6263. Your guaranteed reservation is your payment and that can be made at the Satellite Beach Recreation Department at 1089 South Patrick Drive in Satellite Beach by mail or in person. Trips have payment deadlines, but please note that trips may fill prior to the deadline date.

Please don’t forget to pay your $10 membership dues for 2023. You may complete this at the DRS Community Center, 1089 S. Patrick Dr., Satellite Beach, 32937 by mail or in person at the same address. Dues also can be paid at Monday bingo. Please don’t wait! It truly helps eliminate extra work for us. NOTE: All membership dues come payable the first.

Elections for the Ex. Board will take place later in 2023 for the years 2024/2025. The positions of President, Vice President, Treasurer, Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary and Member at Large are all elected by the club membership.
