At Seniors Helping Seniors(R) in-home care we consider ourselves the first “rung” on the ladder of care. We are often the initial support someone has in their home and specialize in making this new help easier to accept. We hire active, healthy seniors to provide an array of services. Our caregivers come from varied backgrounds but have one important thing in common, the desire to help. Having someone a little closer in age with a similar background and interests makes a huge difference.
Services include transportation to and from the grocery, doctor appointments, or just out to lunch; light housekeeping, home-cooked meals, organization, companionship, handyman services inside and out of the home, and so much more. We find it important to the families we serve to be flexible and continue to offer a two-hour minimum and will do “as needed” services, no continuous schedule required. We tailor each service to the individual client’s needs. With any service we do, our goal is the same, to keep the seniors we work with as independent as possible, with the dignity they deserve. We listen first, then work together to make sure we are providing what is needed.
Seniors Helping Seniors celebrated seven years in business here in Brevard County back in April. We were happy to accept several awards this past year, including the Better
Business Council’s Business of the Month and the Hometown News Reader’s Choice Award for the third year in a row. The 55+ Club was one of the first organizations we visited. Several members have worked with us and we have been able to help several others. We are grateful for the continued support and look forward to working together for many years to come.
