Our next fundraiser will be Thursday January 26th, 2017 3pm at the SB Civic Center on
Cassia Blvd in Satellite Beach. This event will be a spaghetti and meatball cook-off! Tickets
price includes spaghetti, meatballs, sausage, salad, garlic bread, wine or soda and coffee
and dessert. Tickets are $12pp and are available at the DRS Center Office M-F, 8:30-5:00pm, at the Thursday Greeting Table or from most Chairpersons. NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS
Most of us normally make a new resolution every January, or know people who do. The one resolution we should all be making for ourselves is to be healthy and to stay healthy. The old saying, “If you don’t move it, your gonna lose it” is very true. This community is fortunate to offer many exercise programs for all ages. Why not check them out? For example Satellite
Beach offers: Senior Exercise, Yoga, Pilates, Piloting, Tai Chi, Adult Aerobics, Bone-Walkers
Plus, and the 55+ Club, through the Recreation Dept., offers Walking and Line Dancing. If you live in another area, check out the offerings at that community center. So no more excuses to NOT “move it, so we don’t lose it”!
EXTENDED TRAVEL
The 55+ Club has been fortunate to team up with Collette Travel and Premiere Discovery Travel to offer several amazing trips. Pick up a flyer with more detailed information on these offerings in 2017.
COUPON GROUP
This group meets the third Wednesday of every month at the Satellite Beach public library. Bring with you your flyers from the Sunday paper or on line coupons and get the ones you need. We also collect expired coupons which are sent to our deployed soldiers. Come join us at 2pm to 3pm.
BINGO FOR DESIGNER BAGS!

Watch for future fundraisers. In January there will be a spaghetti dinner and more information will be in your Nov/Dec newsletter. All fundraising efforts go toward the purchase of new bingo equipment which is badly needed. If you are so inclined, you are welcome to make a personal monetary donation. Please contact Terry.
FUND RAISERS
As those of us who play Bingo regularly know, we need new Bingo equipment. A week ago the big board was not working at all. Can’t check your numbers without the big board! So, we’re moving ahead with our fundraising efforts. “Bingo for Designer Bags”, will be held on Thursday, November 10th at the Civic Center on Cassia Blvd. We’re also considering an “Italian Dinner” and/or a “Casino Night”, both of which are fun social events.
