There still is not a place for drop off but the two programs taking caps are still collecting them. The IRL project to help filter the lagoon water and purchasing benches for local elementary schools. Please be sure all caps are clean!

CLUB ACTIVITIES
Due to the number of COVID-19 cases of club members in mid-January, a decision was made to suspend the following programs – Book Club, Walking, Widow’s group, and Line Dancing for the month of February. We felt it was the prudent thing to do. So as of this writing, which is early February, we are currently in this suspended portion of the month. Please do check with activities chairpersons listed on the front of this newsletter to fi nd out the status of these programs.
PUZZLE EXCHANGE
Bring any jigsaw puzzles you wish to swap to the DRS Center at 1:00pm on Thursday, April 22, 2021. Pick up a new one while you part with ones you are finished with.
NOTICE:
A decision has been made to suspend these activities – Book Club, Walking, Widow’s group, and Line Dancing. Due to the current number of COVID-19 cases of club members, we feel it is the prudent thing to do. This will take place immediately until the end of February. We will reassess the situation at that time.

PUZZLES
Six members met on January 21st to exchange jig saw puzzles. Even though it was a small group, some exchanges were made during a nice visit. Watch for an April date to be announced to meet again.
CLUB UPDATES
Areas of Florida have opened up and Governor DeSantis announced we are now in Phase 3 of the COVID-19 recovery. Almost all stores and restaurants are open. Masks are required while shopping or at eating establishments upon entry. If you venture out, continue to be smart. Masks, social distancing and wash your hands regularly. You don’t need to barricade yourself in your home.
BOOK CLUB met in Sept. & Oct. and was well attended. They will meet again on Nov. 4th 12noon at the DRS Center.
FISHING GROUP will schedule fishing venues out in the open air, either at the beach or at Sebastian Inlet.
LINE DANCE held test runs in September and ten students attended the Tuesday session and fifteen students on Thursday! They will now continue to meet on their regular day and time. Tuesdays & Thursdays at 1:00pm at the DRS dance studio. You do not need to wear your mask while dancing, but please wear it upon entry or during breaks. Current COVID guidelines will be followed. Note: no line dance on Nov. 24, 26, December 22, 24, 29 & 31.
OTHER CLUB ACTIVITIES? The rest of 55+ programs will begin sometime in January of 2021. Watch for updates in the club newsletter, email notices, website, Facebook and possibly phone calls from the activity chairperson.
