SCAMS

There does not seem to be any time frame that these crooks aren’t working to scam the public. If it’s too
good to be true or if anyone is threatening you in any way – hang up! You can always call your local police department to ask questions. The information below came via email from the Social Security Administration.

If you receive a call, text, or email that…
• Threatens to suspend your Social Security number, even if they have part or all of your Social Security number
• Warns of arrest of legal action
• Demands or requests immediate payment
• Requires payment by gift card, prepaid debit card,
• Internet currency, or by mailing cash
• Pressures you for personal information
• Requests secrecy
• Threatens to seize your bank account
• Promises to increase your Social Security benefit
• Tries to gain your trust by providing fake “documentation,” false “evidence,” or the name of a real government official

…IT IS A SCAM!

LINE DANCING

One of the many enjoyable activities that the 55+ Club offers is line dancing. Every week we kick up our heels to nearly all genres of music: Country, Reggae, hip-hop, rock, classical, folk, R&B, soul, and even glide through a waltz now and then.

In addition to making new friends, we not only exercise our bodies, but our minds. Have you ever heard the phrase, “thinking on your feet?” Dancing is brain food, requiring you to learn new patterns and recall routines. It can lower the chance of dementia by 75 percent!

The “Regular” class is every Tuesday at 1:00 and is $2. For more information, call Candy at 321-779-2941.

The “Basic” class is every Thursday at 1:00 and is $3. Call Trudy at 321-223-7249. Both classes meet for an hour in Studio 2 at the DRS Community Center, 1089 S. Patrick Drive in Satellite Beach.

No partners are required, just a desire to get out of the house and have fun. Line dancing is a great way to meet new people, build confidence, improve coordination, increase bone density, boost your memory, burn calories, lift your mood, and have fun. Put on your dancing shoes and come join us!
