THAT’S PUZZLING!

Do you enjoy jigsaw puzzles? Many often have one set up all the time in their home, but how often do you want to work on a puzzle you’ve already mastered? We will hold a Jigsaw Puzzle exchange. The exchange will be seasonal – Winter, Spring and Fall. The fi rst meeting will be Thursday, January 21, 2021 from 1 to 2pm at the DRS Community Center. Future dates will be announced. Bring any puzzles you would like to trade. Take a few months to fi nish puzzles you are working on and be ready to come to the spring puzzle exchange. Watch for future dates! This activity is open to the community. Current COVID 19 guidelines will be followed. Please wear a mask.

Jig saw trivia:
The first known jigsaw puzzle was introduced in London, England by John Spilsbury in 1760. Called “dissection” a hardwood map was cut into pieces to aid in teaching geography to King George III and Queen Charlotte’s children.The name jigsaw was given to the cardboard puzzle around 1880. With the recent social distancing and self-isolating regulations, the jigsaw has enjoyed a new wave of popularity.
