BINGO THANKS YOU!
A very special thank you is extended to Grace Michaelson and Helen Praul for their generous donation to the Bingo Machine Fund. Your generosity is greatly appreciated and will help us reach our goal much faster.
Your Club will keep you busy! No excuse for feeling lonely — ever!
The 55+ Club will introduce you to so many new friends and activities; life will take on a whole new meaning.
On March 17th, St. Patrick’s Day, we all experienced the luck of the Irish when we were treated to a fantastic lunch courtesy of our new sponsors and neighbors, Zon Beachside Assisted Living.
They are not open yet but they still managed to provide a gourmet spread for all of corned beef, cabbage rolls, mashed potatoes, rolls and cheesecake. We learned about the new facility, played St. Patty’s Day trivia and some lucky people won door prizes.
Great job Zon! I think I would like to move in, save me a room!
As if that was not enough for one week, the very next day we were guests of the Melbourne Greyhound Park. They treated us to a catered buffet lunch, cheese tray and drinks and free race programs; they told us what to look for and how to bet! Some of us still bet on the dog with the fanciest name but what is it they say “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks!” Sorry, but we were at the dog track!
We went from there to the Poker Room where we were taught how to play Texas hold’ um!” That was fun! Even better, we were playing with their money, I like those odds!
So, do you see how important your 55+ Club is? Please come forward and help us keep the Club running. Volunteer to take an office, you won’t be on your own, you will have a GREAT support group, we just need some new ideas and new faces on the board. We NEED you!
