HOLIDAY GATHERING CANCELLED

We were very sad to cancel our December holiday gathering. In September, when this event was planned, we had hoped that COVID 19 would have improved by December. In some ways it has, but out of an abundance of caution the 55+ board voted to cancel the Dec. 5th event. It was evident that many members continue to be cautious about venturing out.

Jig saw trivia:
The first known jigsaw puzzle was introduced in London, England by John Spilsbury in 1760. Called “dissection” a hardwood map was cut into pieces to aid in teaching geography to King George III and Queen Charlotte’s children. The name jigsaw was given to the cardboard puzzle around 1880. With the recent social distancing and self-isolating regulations, the jigsaw has enjoyed a new wave of popularity.
